I know, I know, there's supposed to be a Krogman 25 on Tuesday...but I decided that it's my least favorite thing to do on this blog after a computer fiasco two weeks ago. As you can see, I added a couple things to the Krogman 25 (the plus thing is how many more times it was played since last week, and the LW thing is obviously last weeks ranking). I did this because I knew the list was stagnating, but I wanted to see exactly how much it was stagnating. And the short answer is "A LOT!" There are way too many songs resting on their laurels when I haven't even listened to them once in the past week. So I'm thinking about what to do about this. Since I've gone through sort of a shift in my musical focus, it might take a little while for the results to show, and I should just be patient. Until then, enjoy the stagnant list.

Some notes:

In reality, I'm listening to a lot of Bruce Springsteen right now. I don't know if it will chart...my listening is pretty spread out over four albums. But if I had to guess, I'd say the two tracks that have chart potential are just about any track off of Born to Run or possibly "State Trooper" off of the Nebraska album, or "Maria's Bed" from Devils & Dust.

Another bit of dad-rock that has some potential is The Band's "It Makes No Difference".

This cycle seems to be leading to an inevitable Wilco kick...which could lead to near Hold Steady level chart saturation for Tweedy and company.
